About Me

I make things and I repair things for other people to use to make things.

That in a nutshell is what I do.  I sew, embroidery, make paper crafts and 3D print things, mostly accessories for dolls, but also toys and useful things like storage boxes and parts for vintage sewing machines.  I can be creative and useful at the same time.

I am also very technical.  I used to be a computer programmer before I left my career to care for a child with many medical issues.  I am still caring for that child who is now an adult.  My day centers around her needs so I open my little shop only for afternoons and we keep busy with sewing, embroidery and 3D printing and fixing computers and sewing machines.

I love using technology.  I use a cutting machine to cut all my doll clothes.  I use pattern software to make my patterns and several other applications to convert those patterns into files the cutting machine can use.  I am learning to digitize embroidery designs and create models for 3D printing.

I am starting to teach others as well what I know and have learned.  I feel that it is only by sharing our skills with others that we can survive in this world that has become so worrisome.
